The Robeson County Health Department Lab is accredited by the Commission on Office Lab Accreditation (COLA).  The Lab undergoes an inspection by COLA every two years as a Moderate Complexity Lab.  It is also enrolled in a proficiency-testing program known as the American Proficiency Institute (API).  In-house testing is performed in various areas including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Serology and Microbiology.  The Lab performs more than 30,000 tests annually.
